Iyengar Yoga Classes in Christchurch and Online

All classes now to be online

Following the recent Government announcement of a national lockdown, Mycenae House will be closed from Thursday 6th November, hopefully reopening at the beginning of December., subject to further clarifications from the Government. All Tuesday evening classes will be held online. Saturday morning classes will also be held online until further notice.

Good News! Classroom classes to resume

We will be returning to classroom classes, Tuesday 8th September at Mycenae House and 12th September Greenwich Steiner School. There will be a new online booking and payment system launching very soon. In light of the current pandemic, there will be new and necessary precautionary measures in place to keep us all safe. More details to come soon.

Online Classes will continue, with a slight change to the timetable. Once we've returned to the classroom on Saturday, there will be a new Friday online class at 930am to replace Saturday morning online class. Tuesday and Thursday mornings online classes will remain at 10am.

Look forward to seeing you soon and welcoming you back on the mat!

Holiday dates

Tuesday class will continue over the summer, except for the last two weeks of August. So no class on 20 or 27 August. New term block booking will start again on 3 September.

Saturday class will continue throughout July, will break for August and recommence 7 September.

Hope to see you in the coming weeks, if not have a lovely summer break.

New class starting up!

I am starting a new class on Saturday mornings from 2nd March at Greenwich Steiner School in their lovely school hall overlooking the gardens. Half term block of 5 weeks or drop in as you please. They will be running a community cafe following the class offering a chance to socialise and catch up with friends.

How Iyengar Yoga helps running

An article from Mens Running magazine, on how Iyengar Yoga can help your running:

“Among the high profile sportsman to do this form of yoga include current Wales Manager and Man United legend Ryan Giggs. Giggs believes it was responsible for prolonging his impressive career as a player after a number of hamstring injuries in his twenties.”
